FAQ

Q- Why Should I have my ducts cleaned?

Duct cleaning can help to improve airflow, improve your indoor air quality and help prevent possible mechanical breakdowns on HVAC (heating ventilation and air conditioning) equipment.

Q- How do I know if I need my air ducts cleaned?

Your air ducts should be cleaned every 2 – 3 years depending on your indoor environment. How much carpet do you have in your house? How many pets do you have? Are you asthmatic or do you suffer from allergies such as dust, pollen, etc.? How clean are you keeping your indoor environment? Do you live near highways, factory’s, new construction areas? Are you doing renovations in your home? How often am I having to clean my furnace filter or filters?

Duct cleaning is often left unrecognized due to the fact that it is something that is unseen or forgotten about.

It’s like the fridge, stove or furniture that has not been pulled out or moved in a while, and you say to yourself when you do “Oh my god I have got to clean this up, I can’t believe how much dust and debris is behind here”. Well duct cleaning is the same thing! It is something that does get neglected. The only difference is that the stuff in your ductwork actually keeps re-circulating itself through your home or building and is something that you will keep inhaling time after time

Q - How is the duct cleaning done?

The steps we take to ensure a thorough cleaning of the ventilation systems are as follows:

The service operator will enter the home with a large flexible truck mounted vacuum hose bringing it to each individual vent throughout the home along with a special compressed air snake. We clean each vent from above floors first so that the dirt and dust is not being blown further down the duct system. We do this by inserting are compressed air device into each vent dislodging the dirt and debris towards the drawing vacuum hose. After each vent has been done from the above floors the vacuum hose and air snake is brought to the furnace by removing an existing take off or making a clean Cut opening in the air ducts. The cleaning process is again repeated as in the upstairs floors. After the cleaning is completed, the customer will be shown the final product and then the technician reseals these openings, which can be used for future cleaning or for easy inspection of the air ducts. The last thing done is a cleaning of the furnace and an application of a disinfectant throughout the duct system.

Q - Do you clean the furnace?

Yes we do full furnace cleanings and inspections.

Every duct cleaning that we do you will get a free furnace inspection.

A licensed gas technician will provide this inspection.
